COMMENDATION 14/7! it was seriously cool. when we were outside waiting to start i was like ahh so exciting and i was all nervous and sharleen was squeezing my arm and saying don't be scared! haha. thanks sharleen!
when we were walking in the organ player was playing at really fast and at a different pace every time. it was hard to walk in properly and sing along with the organ cos we're used to singing it slowly. when we got to our seats zelda was cursing the organ player. haha. damn funny.
commendation went by quite smoothly except the speech, i was seriously uncomfortable in my seat and really felt like adjusting myself but couldn't. and the giving out of the council badges! the bishop pronounced a few councillor's names wrongly like evan (eevarn) yijie (yijee) and ying neng (ying nayng). it took me a lot of will power not to laugh. but it was seriously funny. haha. sorry guys i'm not making fun of your names.
i was just glad that everything went well (ok maybe not everything, weihao dopped his commendation book on the floor halfway through the service and everyone around him were like shit. haha.) at least juan didn't screw up the lord's prayer like he always does during rehearsals (everyone: ...and forgive us our debts. juan: ...and forgive us our debtors. chris: eh you said it wrongly. juan: sorry lah.) otherwise i would've seriously burst out laughing (i almost do during rehearsals cos it's damn funny, both the screwing up part and the apology. haha.). and i think iven took my comment seriously ( i told him he sang really loudly and when he walked past me i always fetl like laughing) cos during commendation i couldn't hear his voice when he walked past me. haha. and i didn't miss my chair! during rehearsal that day i almost missed my chair and clarence was telling me it was really obvious. gosh thank goodness i didn't miss the chair during commendation!
when we were walking out and forming the semi circle outside the cathdral all of us were smiling like crazy already even though we weren't supposed to. haha. but we were all just so happy! we just kept getting louder and louder and after the song and prayer ended, everyone starting cheering like crazy. haha. the feeling was incredible i tell you. after hugging and putting on our badges we rushed to peninsula hotel for lunch.
lunch wasn't that fantastic. weiqi shirley and i were sharing a lot of cakes and we stuffed ourselves until we were super full. haha. then when the board of governers left all of us just went crazy and started taking a lot of photos. everyone was seriously high. haha. i went around with shirley to take photos with people. yay fun! haha.
after lunch we went to marche to hang out until it was time to go for cheam's musical. councillors there were min coll shirley jeremy evan brandon wei hao jason and i. there were some others who went to starbucks instead. anw we were talking about commendation and all the funny stuff that happened. like the bishop pronouncing our names wrongly and the expression on juan's face when bishop called him fab'regon. haha. evan and brandon were taking turns to do the expression and it was damn funny! haha. min kept bursting into laughter randomly and made me laugh too. haha.
then we played truth or dare. coll is the best. she chose to do a dare and had to go up to one of the waiters at marche and say you're hot can i take a photo with you and take a photo with him. and she did it with little hesitation. haha. the guys had a standard question. if you had to pick a girl in council to be your girlfriend who would it be? haha. jeremy didn't want to stop playing cos he wanted jason to get picked but he didn't. haha.
at about 6pm we met melvin and went to carl's junior for dinner. then we rushed down to st andrew's cathedral for cheam's musical. the others who were there early managed to get the third row for us so we were really close to the stage! haha. thanks guys. i was fully entertained during the musical cos i was sitting next to evan and he's damn funny! kept making fun of cheam and sharleen. haha.
in fact we were all being damn high during the interval and after the musical. we kept doing council stuff like putting the programme booklet on our laps, sitting down, bowing etc commendation style. haha. at one point jeremy min coll and i were singing commendation hymms and swaying our arms while evan and melvin kept shouting stuff like check height check angle do it again and maintain that standard. haha. we were being damn high man. then after the musical we started taking a lot of photos.
oh yes jordan is damn lame! we were given this free gift and it was some sort of tube thingie and i was like what's this and jordan said it's to make the sky blue! haha. iven was being disgusting.
anw took the nel back home with iven jeremy and juan. jeremy was teasing me (thanks a lot jeremy) and iven was telling us about what he and the others were gossiping about at starbucks. haha. got back at like 11.30 and was super exhausted! but i was feeling happy so yeah... (:
the only downside of yesterday was not being able to go support my class during the inter class rugby and volleyball matches. we lost but oh wells, i'm sure they did their best and had fun! well done S07! oh the other downside of yesterday was not being able to take photos with my class and other friends in my blazer and stuff after commendation cos we had to rush off for lunch. oh wells... but commendation has truely been a cool experience and the rest of the day was so fun and made me love council even more. bring on the work! (:
oh i've been getting a lot of complaints that commendation was super boring and sleep inducing. so i just wanna say thanks to all who turned up and stayed awake! especially my class S07, rojaks and babes. love you guys. (:

oh and i wanna thank zelda and sharleen too for always keeping me awake with your encouragement, jokes and highness durng rehearsals. haha. i'm so thankful to have either one of you beside me during commendation. wouldn't have survived without the both of you! i love 29th. (:

spoke to fred today. it was great talking to him again. even manda thinks he's nice. really miss all his nonsense man. still rmb the time he irritated min and i online. haha. fred congrats on your fantastic grades! really proud or you. spoke to iven too! (iven peh i'm gonna smack you!) even though he's such an irritaing and bitchy himbo, he's still a good listener and a nice person to talk to. thanks for listening to me iven. really really appreciate it.
now is my special mention of someone who's both talented and smart. JOSHUA SAMUEL. got 88 for physics and 91 for chemistry. well done josh! been busy telling the whole school his grades. haha. he's sorta like a mini celebrity of S07 now. haha. and as joey said, he really makes you wanna study harder. haha.
well my classmates are gona be taking part in the inter house volleyball (gerry amos derrick serene) and rugby (josh sam paul joey nic chandra) matches tmr. hope i got all the names right. anw all the best guys! u can do it. make S07 venn proud! haha. hope i can rush down aft commendation lunch to watch you guys. yup. i love S07!
